New England in the Fall

The Hubby and I went to New Hampshire this past week for a little vacation, just the two of us. We had not realized when we made the reservations clear back in March that we would be leaving our Michael home alone with just 2 weeks left until he leaves for his mission. He is still working full time at Men's Wearhouse so he did have a little to do, but we felt guilty anyway.

But just look at what we found when we got to the beautiful White Mountains. The leaves were changing just for us

...and the water was flowing higher than most autumn's in New England because of their ridiculously wet wet summer.

So we were able to see many spectacular water falls, go on many beautiful hikes, see many really unique covered bridges, and watch the gorgeous changing leaves of maples, birches, sumac, etc trees.

Our weather was terrific as we drove through the forests and discovered some of the treasures of this abundantly beautiful Untied United States where we live. Sometimes I wonder if it is untied, but we still keep holding on don't we?

I'll show some of the water features in tomorrows post.

  1. Beautiful! I love New England in the fall and we don't go nearly as often as we should. We have the perfect excuse too...we have family there! Welcome home.
